The 2015 Cannes Film Festival usually sees some of the best dresses any red carpet event will ever see. Because, I didn’t cover the 2015 Cannes, I’ll be doing a quick recap of some of my favourite looks from this year’s Cannes festival. In order of most loved:

Araya Hargate in Embroidery Ashi Studio Couture

You simply cannot outdo a girl in an Ashi Studio Couture dress! Araya solidified one of my favourite red carpet moments of all time in the Ashia feather beaded dress at the Cannes festival. Mesmerizing.

Aishwarya Rai in Ralph & Russo Couture

Ralph & Russo couture sent down some of the best dresses to the carpet. Aishwarya looked absolutely stunning in this floral ruffle iteration.

Erin O’Connor in Ralph & Russo

When I saw this dress, I paused for a few seconds. Breathtaking is the word. Erin O’Connor, wow! It’s hard to see a gown with such a bold appliqué that doesn’t look tacky. This is one stunning dress. Needless to say Erin wears it gracefully. Leave it to Ralph & Russo to offer us this impeccably tailored gown in a deep red colour. And they knew just how to win me over with that giant bow. I’m in love.

Lupita Nyong’o in Gucci

Everyone knows Lupita is a red carpet gem by now. She keeps her appearances scarce and makes sure every time she steps out, it counts. Vibrant colours work well for her and this green Gucci dress was no exception. She looked amazing.

Aishwarya Rai in Oscar de la Renta

For a woman as beautiful as Aishwarya Rai, all she needs is a simple dress in a stunning colour. No try hard. This Oscar de la Renta dress is doing EVERYTHING for her. And that makeup. Talk about smouldering. She wins with this look in book everyday.

Sonam Kapoor in Ralph and Russo

It isn’t a red carpet top list without the gorgeous Sonam! She does red carpet extravaganza with a balance of class like no other. I love the angles this draped blue Ralph & Russo dress is serving.

Li Bingbing in Elie Saab

These sheer sparkly dresses are a red carpet favourite (ask J.Lo) but you have to give it Li Bingbing for working this Elie Saab creation like a real princess. Pretty!

Lupita Nyongo’o in Gucci

Lupita looked radiant at the Chopard Trophy party in this Gucci gown. These pictures don’t do it justice. She looked amazing!

Emily Blunt in Stella McCartney

Leave it to Emily to bring a classic column dress to life with emerald earrings. Simply gorgeous.

Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive

This is how you do a black dress at Cannes. Classically beautiful.

Salma Hayek in Gucci

It’s not so much the dress but it’s the striking violet shade of the dress and the way it hugs Salma’s body in the right places. Gucci was certainly a winner at Cannes this year. Salma looks smoking.

Cheryl Cole in Ralph & Russo

Even though I was a little on the fence about that lip colour, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini  looked damn good in that dress.

Fan Bingbing In Ralph & Russo Couture

Fan at the  ‘La Tete Haute’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony looked like money. All the YASSSESSS that ever yasssed in YASSSSLAND.

Kendall Jenner in a Black Crop-Top and Skirt Set

Kendall Jenner wears a lot of crop top and bottom combos.  But I feel like like this is the edgiest she’s worn so far and it looked great on the carpet.

Liya Kebede in Proenza Schouler

Sometimes deviating from the generic ball gown is a breath of fresh air. Which is why I appreciated Liya Kebede’s Proenza Schouler moment. I absolutely loved its uniqueness. It photographs so beautifully.

Sonam Kapoor in Elie Saab Couture

The queen of Cannes at it again. Very playful and sweet.

Julianne Moore in Givenchy Couture

I love how Julianne’s inner stylista is coming out more now. What works better than a fiery redhead in a hot wine red dress with croc details? The only thing I do not co-sign is the shoes, but she looks hot!

Clotilde Vourau in Valentino Couture

There’s something about this beige nude Valentino dress that I simply adore! It’s probably the sleeves :) Clotilde looks stunning in it.

Who had your favourite look?

Who have I left out?
